Costa Rica

FIVE things about Costa Rica

1. Costa Rica is a lot less safe than the United States. Here you can't just go over and play at the park on your own. You usually have to have an adult with and even then people may still rob you.

2. People here are very friendly and kind. Most of them are very considerate. When we say something totally wrong in Spanish they don't laugh and they don't make you look like a fool.

3. It's a lot more tropical here and lots more wildlife. In your backyard you can find colorful caterpillars and geckos. In fact, we have already found one in our house.

4. Here you find trash in the gutters because there is not a lot of trash cans. Some parts of the city are really nice and some aren't, it just depends.

5.Here some of the food is delicious. They have bakeries that are good and are bad. Though, most of them are good.

  1. Hi Jeffrey!
I am glad that you are finally on your adventure! I wish you all the luck. It sounds like Costa Rica is a wonderful new place that is very different from here. We had geckos in Thailand too. Aren't they awesome. I had to get used to them being in my room and the noise they made. :) Are you already in school? Making new friends? Are you still excited or really homesick? Anyways, I am glad I found your blogsite. I hope you have an awesome time there!

  2. Hello Jeffrey,
I'm Paul from Idaho. I just came across this tonight while I was leaving a note for your mom and dad. I trust you are adjusting fine to your new home. At our church in Twin Falls, we have a picture of your whole family on our missionary board, I stop by this board every day I'm in my office and I stop and look at every face on the board and pray for them. How can I pray for you?
